Installing Docker in my instance

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I want to install Docket in EC2 instance, it is currently running ubuntu in it. I followed the below AWS document for installation.

http://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonECS/latest/developerguide/docker-basics.html

But in this, I could see they used sudo yum command, do I need to re-install the instance with Redhat flavour OS to follow this document.

I believe the commands in the above tutorial is for Red-hat based operating systems. If you are using Ubuntu, you shall run the update and installation use ‘apt-get’ command as like normal installation. Replace ‘yum install’ with ‘apt-get install’ and you will be good :)
